Safe Neighborhoods

As your Councilmember, I will ensure Vista’s firefighters and law-enforcement officers have the resources, training, and competitive pay they deserve, so we can recruit and retain the very best public-safety professionals.

I will strengthen partnerships between our community and law enforcement to guide young people toward brighter paths. By pairing public-safety support with mentorship, educational opportunities, and community resources, we can give at-risk youth, including those with prior records, a real chance to succeed. Together, we will inspire positive choices, help young people thrive as adults, and empower them to become valued contributors to our community.

Homelessness is one of our community’s most urgent challenges. I will work to get our unhoused neighbors indoors quickly and connect them with stable housing and the support they need, from mental-health and substance-use care to job training and case management, so they can rebuild their lives with dignity. I will partner with county agencies, health providers, nonprofits, faith groups, and businesses to expand transitional and permanent supportive housing and create clear, sustainable pathways from crisis to stability.

Quality Neighborhoods

Every Vista resident deserves clean, safe parks and well-maintained roads. I believe in a back-to-basics approach to local government, prioritizing pothole repairs, repaving aging streets, and upgrading sidewalks.

I will champion investments in our parks to expand shade, restrooms, and family-friendly amenities, ensuring our public spaces are places where the whole community can gather and thrive.

Affordable Neighborhoods

I’ll advocate for responsible budgeting that prioritizes essential services without passing the burden to hardworking families. And because housing is one of the biggest drivers of the cost of living in our region, I will support responsible development that creates more housing opportunities, so more families can achieve the dream of homeownership right here in Vista.
